Hello guys,

I have a krytac trident mk2 spr, and would like to upgrade a little bit to make it as a DMR.

So I started talking about it with my local airsoft gunsmith, and he suggested doing the following things:

- gearbox “shimming”, all internal adjusts and lubrification.
- change cylinder to type 0 (closed cylinder whitout hole).
- put a guarder sp130 spring.
- prometheus 416mm inner barrel.

He already worked in my previous g&g and does a really good work, but i would like a second opinion about these possibly changes.

What do you guys think about it? I dont want to put a lot stress in the gears and gearbox.

He did this work in another gun and had really great results, about 90m accuracy.
i uploaded the videos to the following onedrive link:
The guy uses .36 bbs

Hope you can help me with your opinion.

Thanks a lot.

Hey team,
I've disabled the onedrive link. You're welcome to put it on youtube or PM eachother the link on request, but I'd like to keep those off the public forum.

Sounds like a solid plan, but you can't really reshim the stock gearset, so you'd have to replace that, which also requires a bit of gearbox/gearset modification.

But really I'd question if a new gearset would be worth it.
