Hi all,

I recently bought about a week ago my new Krytac Trident SPR MK2.

Considering I've owned other AEGs before I immediately went ahead and bought a pre r hopUmbrella Prommy 455mm barrel. Considering the good experience I've had with the stock hop up from Krytac I decided to just swap the barrel without making any other mods. Now I tried using the chrono unit I have with G&G MIT and it was reading 280-380fps with .2s I'm not sure if it has something to do with the barrel or air nozzle. Any suggestions? I'm thinking of cleaning the barrel tonight and charging my chrono/trace unit to 100% and lipo 11.1v 20c battery.

By the way I'm using a Elite Force Bio .20. Everything is stock on the gun except for the inner barrel.

Well, you might not like the suggestion but, anyway: keep all original parts and be happy with no leakages at all.

Figured out the problem. It was the nub that was loose. I put everything back now it's chrono'd at 410fps. I just have to find the spring that would bring it down to 390-400. Any suggestions?

In order of best to worst option:

  • Let the spring wear in
  • Short-stroke by 1 tooth
  • Cut 1 coil (you will need to heat the end of the spring and redo the coils so they lay flush again)
None will cause any damage to your AEG if done correctly and are better than buying a new spring as springs cost money, take time to arrive and you never know exactly how they're going to perform. By doing this you'll get yourself just under the 400fps limit.

By now I think it should habe worn in and dropped a little, for mine 410 fps out of the box with .2 plinked around my backyard got sighted in went to a game and it read 407 fps(put on my pdw barrel as it was too high for my field) after all the games it read 402 fps. Did some mag dumps testing some stuff out and it should be just under 400 so if say just use it and let it wear in

Do you mean the nub in the hopup unit? Thanks
