Hi All

Ran into someone else this weekend with another LMG and talked about FPS on the LMG, and I am now worried that mine is underpowered out of the box.

Should i be getting more than around 270 FPS using 0.25g bb's?

The gun is completely stock with no upgrades.

you should be getting 350-360 with a 0.25 (that is what I am getting with my spr mk2) it is probably something wrong with your compression.

forgot to mention I am in the UK, and the site I purchased the LMG from states the FPS as 300-350 on a 0.20g bb.

Wondering if they come with a lighter spring in the UK due to lower FPS rules?

Even then this is still really low.....

Seems like a reasonable drop if you account for three factors.
1. The chronograph might be reading low
2. The hopup is on high and is decelerating the round
3. The gun could have been locally modified by the retailer

I know is the case that some retailers across the world operate indoor fields and will modify their product to comply with field rules. Warranties still apply, but are generally upheld by that retailer.

So the best way to figure this out is to get the brand and model of the chronograph. Set your gun to "3" on the hopup dial. Then shoot with 0.20g bbs to get a baseline.

This will tell you if there's an adjustment in the power levels.
