HI all,

Anyone tried to fit a Maxx hop up with a Prometheus purple into a trident mkii spr and done it successfully? I have seen people with LVOAs that work seamlessly, but I am having issues.

The main issue is the mags are super tight...they need to be smacked in, both the stock high cap and the PTS epms. The other is the chamber seems to squeeze the hopup lips which creates serious feed problems as the bbs can't get into the barrel and it basically clogs up and creates a back pressure. I can see the air pressure coming out of the chamber rather than the end of the barrel.

Anyone got any suggestions or tried it and got it to work?

Cheers

sidenote here, but if you're losing compression from the chamber, then your nozzle is not seating against the bucking properly. This can be a spacing issue that requires changing the bucking or the nozzle.

Turns out I was using the incorrect hop unit, fitted the ICS version instead, I had both two, 1 for my ICS and 1 for the krytac, and they got mixed up.

I am still having intermittent feed issues however. BBS are nuts falling out of the barrel. I think the nozzle, as you say isn't seating correctly. From my understanding the nozzle natural position should be seated against the bucking in the camber, but mine doesn't look like it does. I have to give it a quick burst of full auto to get the gearbox back into its neutral state. Then in semi it falls back to its incorrect position. I assume this is the AOE being incorrect?

It's simply getting timing corrected. You can just take the upper off and fire until the tappet is reset. Then assemble the gun to check the nozzle placement.
