I have a bone stock CRB but hate the A2 motor grip because of the nub at the front. I've tried to use my old G&G grip but it places the motor too high even when I adjust the motor height to the lowest. What are some grips that are compatible with the stock motor that don't have the finger nub i.e. MOE/Umbrella Corps. Thanks

I use the Magpul Black AEG grip. I love the feel, and it is larger; not as skinny as the stock one. Required a bit of grinding on the inside of the plate so that the motor sits lower and can be adjusted properly

I use that Umbrella Corp (23 grip one), fits great, no problems.

Oh wait, you don't want that one, my bad!

Edit: I don't read so good

I found a great one that makes it a breeze to put back in the motor and screw back in.  It's the G&P Snake Skin type Long type motor.  I tried the Umbrella Corp one but there isn't really any grip, so you may not like that one.

I just took the stock one off and used a dremmal to grind off the nub. Then I wrapped it with athletic tape to give it some grip. Looks good and way more comfortable.

Having issues blowing fuses when I swapped grips. Is this because there is too much pressure on the gear? Also is there a trick to getting the bottom plate on? Even the stock grip is giving me problems now.

Update: I happen to live very close to a reputable shop with a great gun tech. He had the grip on, motor running with no blown fuses in less than five minutes so I was causing the problem. He suggests a slightly thicker stock of metal on the motor electrical contacts. He suspects as I was adjusting the motor height the positive would slide off and arc or make contact with another part of the motor and cause the fuse to blow. After crimping the wire ends a little tighter, they held.

Has anyone tried the magpul moe grip? I used it on my kwa and I had to the bottom plate had to pop out of the bottom of the grip unevenly for the motor to be properly aligned. I've heard other people online having alignment issues as well and I was wondering if anyone has tries it on a trident series krytac because I ordered an spr and I hate the standard m4 grip.

I have installed the Magpul MOE/MIAD grip on our Trident series AEGs. The base plate does require slight modification in order for the alignment to be correct, but it does work.

What kind of mods do you have to do to the moe grip to make it work? I got mine on but the motor kinda has an electrical smell to it after some shots and it feels like it's knocking against the side.

I just got my PTS MOE pistol grip in the mail today. I know that the base plate has to be modified for the motor to be properly aligned, but I'm a bit uneasy on doing it without knowing how it should end, and I don't trust the techs in my country. Could somebody who's done this (and it runs without issues or loose parts) post a picture of their modified MOE base plate, please?
