I attempted to remove the bolt behind my battery but I noticed straight away my driver was too small.

Does anyone know what size screwdriver I should use?

I have not stripped the head completely so I should be able to get it off still.

Anyone else had trouble removing this?

You'll need a Phillips P3 screwdriver to remove the buffer tube screw. Using an incorrectly sized driver can and will lead to damage.

P3 & a rubber band worked a treat, thank you... One more question,

Outdoors I use a sniper and my PDW as a secondary. So much more compact & suitable for me now without the stock. Currently I have a peq style battery neatly tapped behind my sling plate.

Do you know if it is possible to have the battery wired to the front?

It's possible to wire the gearbox to the front, although you would have to delete the MOSFET since it's located in the rear and designed for rear wiring. Trying to keep the MOSFET in place would require too many wires running back and forth in the gearbox.

Another issue you may run in to is that with the way our barrel nut is designed, the wire channel in the outer barrel is blocked off. Some modification would be required in order to accommodate the wires.

A fixed stock like a full-size "A2" stock? We don't manufacture such a stock, but I don't see why it wouldn't fit. You would need to find a suitable stock end plate (the spacer that fits at the end of the receiver extension) and a screw that would secure the stock to the receiver since most screws are designed to go directly into the gearbox.
