Hi all just looking for some advice I just got my first AEG rif this week, I play paintball and due to all the big game Magfed events moving further north than I can afford to travel I figured I would try airsoft as there are stacks of events locally to me.

So what I wanted to know is what are good solid recommendations for a tight bore barrel, mags and batteries for my MK2 Trident.

Mine is totally stock and I need some more mags as well as a battery.

Barrel I figured this would be worth upgrading, as it will be better performance.

I also wanted to know if I could if I wanted to change the stock, if so is it a one piece change or is it a buffer tube and stock purchase.

I'm really impressed with how my Trident performs, so I'm not going to go nuts on upgrades and tweaks.

However if there are parts I need to service and there are better parts to use, over Krytac parts please feel free to let me know.

Cheers in advance
Kris

the barrel is already a 6.05 so you don't really need a tighter one, the stock hopup and bucking is good and gets around 200ft, I know that you can change the stock but I don't know how. I have a mk2 with a spr upper and a pdw upper and I have some other upgrades. for batteries, if you are using the stock mosfet, a small 11.1 will be fine but you will get the occasional double feed. I use elite force mid caps as they are very affordable and work great, pts epm mags are another option but they are more pricey. I suggest using the gun stock until the warranty runs out or it breaks (unlikely) then upgrade it.

Cheers for the info and I really don't want to do much tinkering with it, I think it's great out of the box so less is most definitely more in this instance.

I've been looking at a few posts on here and one of the staff said not to go for the 11.1, hence my question as I'm a little worried about killing my PDW.

I will have a look at the mags, as I was thinking about going for flash mags as I'm not a fan of the wheel turning and I'm not sure what size to get yet

if you want flash mags get lonex, I got a lancer tactical to support my local shop and it broke from just testing it, I am fixing it tho.I ran an 11.1 when my mk2 was stock, just had some double feeding and blew a fuse. I still have the old stock MOSFET which im probably going to give to a friend.

EDIT: if you do decide to get an 11.1, don't buy "airsoft" ones. they are very overpriced and don't perform as well as normal rc lipos but the rc lipos generally won't fit in your stock.

I will keep that in mind about the batteries, but think on the mags I'm possible going to get the mid cap PTS EPM mags.

I wasn't overly impressed with his a high cap feeds, also 120-140 rounds is more than enough.

More so when you think as a Magfed player I run with a mag that holds a max of 20 rounds 😂

The ARES Amoeba 140rd mid caps work without a problem in my pdw. And they're not expensive. You can usually find deals that sell 10 mag packs for $100. As far as the barrel goes, I put a prommy 6.02, 155mm Krytac in mine. Prommy makes specific barrels for the Krytac Trident. Evike sells them. I've never heard anyone from Krytac say not to use an 11.1v lipo in my pdw. In fact they've recommended the Tenergy stick 1000mah lipo for my pdw. They also have these at Evike, but you can get them cheaper from another place. I just can't think of the name of the place right now. I would highly recommend the battery extension that Evike sells for the pdw. It allows me to use a bigger BOL rectangular lipo in the stock. I also put a Maxx ME pro hop unit in my pdw with the prommy barrel. It works great and has much more adjustability then the stock Krytac unit. Not that the stock unit isn't very good, because it is. But, besides the added adjustability, it also has a bb latch that stops bb's from dropping out when you change mags. It's also very well made. Hope that helps!!!

Also, you can change the stock by adding a cbr buffer tube. You just need to unscrew your stock and then add the cbr buffer tube and your choice of stock. The Krytac stock is pretty good because it has a decent amount of room for different batteries. I haven't done this yet, but many that have done this mod have confirmed its an easy swap. I'll be doing this next month. Good luck!!!

Yeah that does, so far the info I'm getting has been great.

The post about the battery was on here and it's possible that I may have miss read or understood what was being said, there was talk of changing the fuse so maybe that might be it.

Anyways that all aside I will take a look at the barrel and other than the MAXX Me Pro hop change stopping BBs falling out, what else does that upgrade give you?

Its such a big learning curve from paintball, so I'm trying to work out fact from fiction.

An by the way I'm based in the UK, so don't worry too much about the store as I will have to try and find a UK supplier 😂

Oh and thanks for the info on the stock, I will take a look in the Krytac store for that, as I love the PDW stock but can't believe how short it is

the MAXX model ME pro hop up chamber are good and made of cnc aluminum. They have slots for their integral tracer unit and has specific tensioners and tensioning arms for normal hop up setups and r hops. they also have a retention system for the bbs so no bbs are lost when reloading. they are nice but 50-70 US dollars depending on if you buy the tracer system with it.

I had a look at the MAXX model ME pro hop up chamber and it does look like a nice bit of kit, I also like the fact it will stop rounds falling out.

Price wise I didn't think it was that bad tbh, so have added it to my upgrade list and it would mean that I dont have to then screw the Xcortech XT501MK2 tracer on over pirate arms mock suppressor that I have

Wait on the tracer unit from Maxx. The guys running Maxx said that they've developed a new one that allows the wiring to go into the rear with your battery. I guess the one they're selling now is difficult to wire properly because of space limitations. That's the one I'm waiting for, but right now I'm using a Acetech AT1000 and it works great. The Maxx hop unit allows for greater adjustability with different weight bb's. With the original Krytac unit, I had to have my hop setting st 7 for .28-.30 bb's. With the Maxx unit, if I go past 3 I start over hop. So getting extended range out of that little 155mm barrel with over hopping on the Maxx unit is really easy. With the prommy barrel and the Maxx unit I can easily shoot into 2 inches at 20 yards (60ft). I was getting about double that with the Krytac barrel at the same distance. I'm gonna have a custom EDGI Rhop barrel made and see what the fuss is all about. But 2 inches at 20 yards is darn good. I doubt the EDGI barrel will do better.

Thats handy to know.

I've not had a chance to use my Krytac out on the filed yet, but have been shooting off some rounds in the garden and I'm quietly impressed so far.....I just need to sort my mags and a few more batteries out and then I'm good to go me thinks 😎

Oh and IBIG I thought it was all about being stealthy, not amplifing your RIFs sound waves....well not unless you are trying to scare the other team into giving up 😂
